Alison Moyet will celebrate 40 years as a solo artist with the release of her new album Key in October. The release comes ahead of a huge tour including Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
The Manchester gig is one of 25 UK and Ireland dates she has announced. As well as headlining in Manchester, Alison Moyet will also play a Liverpool gig at the Philharmonic Hall as well as further gigs in Stoke-on-Trent, Buxton, Dublin, Birmingham and London.
The UK and Ireland run comes ahead of a string of European dates which form part of her world tour. This will be her first full headline tour since 2017.
Key marks a collection of 16 reworked Alison Moyet singles, fan favourites and deep cuts alongside two new tracks. She has launched the album by sharing one of its new songs, Such Small Ale alongside a reworked version of All Cried Out. As Alison Moyet explains, “I wanted to take the opportunity to look at the trajectory of the past four decades and explore songs that, in their original form, were never fully realised or have had their relevance to me altered by time.”
This week has also seen the launch of 40 Moyet Moments. A 40-part podcast series featuring Alison in conversation with her long-time digital manager, Steve Coats-Dennis discussing the key moments of Alison’s career: the highs, the lows and everything in between
