New Manchester Horror Film Festival Triple Six is accepting submissions ahead of it’s debut Manchester fest, scheduled for May 2017.

The event is the brainchild of Andy Deen (owner of UK Horror Scene) and Chris Barnes (owner of The Slaughtered Bird), who decided there was a need and a passion for a new horror film festival in Northern England.

After months of planning they have partnered up with the AMC Cinema in Manchester and their debut festival will be over the May 2017 bank holiday weekend, 27 and 28 May 2017.

Set in the Great Northern Warehouse in Manchester, Triple Six will take over one of the screens for two days to showcase independent horror on the big screen, aiming to highlight the talent across the genre with nine feature films and nine short films.  On top of that there will be special guests, Q&As, an after-festival party and much more.

Submissions are open exclusively through FilmFreeway and this will run until 1 March 2017. There will be awards for Best Short Film, Best Feature Director, Best Feature Film and Audience Choice Best Feature Film!

Tickets will go on sale on 1 April 2017.
