Circa Waves have announced their first headline tour since October 2015 in support of their eagerly anticipated second album Different Creatures (due for release on 10 March).

The 12-date tour will include a show at Manchester Academy.

Different Creatures is co-produced by Alan Moulder (Foals, Arctic Monkeys, Smashing Pumpkins), and has been dubbed “the grittier, ‘night time’ counterpart to the breezy summer vibes of its Top 10 predecessor Young Chasers”, sharing a sonic palette with the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Queens Of The Stone Age.

Their debut album Young Chasers spawned four Radio 1 A-list singles and saw the band’s popularity and profile rise over a meteoric six months. The audience’s fevered reaction to Young Chasers emboldened lead singer Kieran to delve into the weightier subjects explored in Different Creatures. “When I saw the way that people connected with it,” Kieran continues, “I really started to believe in myself, I’m a different person now -I feel like I’ve got a fire in my belly with this record”.
